China to Postpone Anti-Dumping Ruling on Imported Polysilicon to End of April
02/04/2013 12:00
According to the China Silicon Industry Association, China’s preliminary ruling on anti-dumping and countervailing for imported polysilicon will be postponed to the end of April or the beginning of May. The specific rates of anti-dumping and countervailing duties have yet to be defined.
Analysts point out that the further postponement of the preliminary ruling will allow the upward trend of polysilicon prices to continue. This may allow the photovoltaic industry to achieve fair profitability and build foundations for future development.
Statistics from the China Silicon Industry Association show that the spot price of polysilicon for last week stood at CNY 140-150 per kilogram.
The Ministry of Commerce announced on November 1, 2012 that China will launch anti-dumping and countervailing investigations against the solar-grade polysilicon imported from the European Union.
