Applying urgent measures for aquatic products exporting to Japan

According to Vasep, on 11th July, Deputy Minister of Fisheries Luong Le Phuong signed the Decision No 06 on applying urgent measures to control chemical and forbidden antibiotic residues in aquatic products exported to Japan.
In the Decision No 06, Ministry of Fisheries points out only enterprises, which meet safety food standard of this Ministry, have right to export aquatic products to Japan.
Such enterprises must implement checking stated certificate of chemical and forbidden antibiotic residues to 100% crustacean consignments, mollusca and products manufactured from aquatic materials before exporting to Japan.
However, since 1st January 2007 enterprises will be exempted from checking obligatory certificate if they have 10 consecutive crustacean and mollusca consignments, which are not warned by Japan. On the other hand, 100% consignments of enterprises will be checked if they are founded to have crustacean and mollusca consignments containing forbidden antibiotics in Japan.
In case consignments are manufactured by imported materials, enterprises must check chemical and forbidden antibiotic residues to 100% importing aquatic consignments, which are used as material for processing, print the origin of materials in finished products when exporting and keep data using as origin checking is needed.
