MDF board with thickness of 6mm or more - India anti-dumping investigation

On May 11, 2020, DGTR initiated an investigation case about MDF (Plain Medium Density Fiber Board) products with a thickness of 6mm or more manufactured by Kim Tin MDF Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Kim Tin ). In 2016, Kim Tin MDF Vietnam Joint Stock Company was concluded to have a dumping margin below the minimum level in a similar case in 2015.

Some general information about the case is as follows:
 
1. Date in the notice of initiation of the investigation: May 11, 2020
 
2. Plaintiffs: Greenply Industries Limited/Greenpanel Industries Limited and Rushil Decor Limited.
 
3. Investigated goods: MDF board with a thickness of 6mm or more under HS code 4411.12.00; 4411.13.00 (or possibly HS codes 4411.92.19, 4411.92.29, 4411.92.39 and 4411.92.49)

4. Investigation period:
 
- For dumping: 01/2019 - 12/2019

- For damage: 04/2016 - 12/2019

May 11, 2020 DGTR initiated an investigation with MDF boards with a thickness of 6mm or more manufactured exclusively by Kim Tin MDF Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
May 7, 2021 DGTR decided to end the case and announced to consider adjusting the tax rate of Kim Tin during the review process in 2015.
