On January 18, 2012, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) issued a decision to initiate an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation on steel wire garment hangers imported from Vietnam and Taiwan. This initiative decision was made on the basis of a lawsuit filed on December 29, 2011 by three US companies: M&B Metal Products Company (Leeds, AL), Innovative Fabrication/Indy Hanger Company (Indianapolis, IN) and Coat Hanger Company of America (Gardena, CA).
