Three Chinese producers and exporters are appealing U.S. antidumping duty rates on their steel nails, arguing to the Federal Circuit that Commerce responded unlawfully to suspicions of duty evasion.

The U.S. imposes antidumping duties on Chinese steel nails with a shaft length up to 12 inches. Commerce conducted a periodic duty review covering subject nails that entered the U.S. between August 2016 and July 2017.

The department calculated dumping margins and corresponding duty rates of 69.99% for Dezhou Hualude Hardware and Products Co.; 3.94% for Stanley Works (Langfang) Fastening Systems Co. and Stanley Black & Decker Inc.; and 118.04% for others manufactures.
