Frozen warmwater shrimp - The U.S investigates anti-dumping measures

On January 20, 2004, the United States initiated an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures to frozen warmwater shrimp products imported from Brazil, Ecuador, India, Thailand, China and Vietnam.

5. Official anti-dumping measure:
On November 29, 2004, the United States issued the final conclusion with the official anti-dumping tax rate on frozen warm water shrimp products imported from Vietnam. Then, on January 26, 2005, the United States amended official anti-dumping measures with the following tax rates:

6. 5-year/Sunset reviews:
- The first sunset review:
On January 4, 2010, the DOC issued its notice of the first 5-year review. Then, on November 29, 2010, the DOC concluded that the cancellation of the anti-dumping duty order would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of the dumping of frozen warm water shrimp products imported from 06 countries under investigation. Therefore, on April 22, 2011, DOC decided to extend the anti-dumping measure on this product with the same official tax rate.
- The second sunset review:
On February 23, 2016, the DOC issued its notice of the second 5-year review. Then, on January 24, 2017, the DOC concluded that the cancellation of the anti-dumping duty order would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of the dumping of frozen warm water shrimp products imported from 06 countries under investigation. Therefore, on May 25, 2017, DOC decided to extend the anti-dumping measure on this product with the same official tax rate.
- The third sunset review:
On April 26, 2022, the DOC issued its notice of the third 5-year review. Then, on August 30, 2022, the DOC concluded that the cancellation of the anti-dumping duty order would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of the dumping of frozen warm water shrimp products imported from 06 countries under investigation. Therefore, on July 5, 2023, DOC decided to extend the anti-dumping measure on this product with the same official tax rate.
