WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Commerce has extended issuing final results of the 2010 administrative review on Chinese-made wooden bedroom furniture duties by 30 days.

The review determines the final duty rates on furniture shipped in 2010.
The results were originally planned to be released on Feb. 21, but the department determined it needed additional time to complete the review. The review will determine whether the final duty rates for 2010 shipments will be different from the initial cash deposit rates paid on these duties.

The duties are the government's way of helping to level the playing field for domestic manufacturers that have been injured as a result of unfairly priced imports.

DOC officials said the administrative review is now set to be completed on March 22 with the final duty rates to be issued soon after.
