Galvanized aluminum steel with widths of 600mm or more - Australia investigates anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures

On June 30, 2020, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on galvanized aluminum steel products with a width of 600mm or more imported from Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan; and anti-subsidy investigation with products imported from Vietnam.

1. Initiated date: June 30, 2020
2. Petitioner: BlueScope Steel Limited
3. Scope of investigation: Flat rolled iron and steel products (with or without alloy), with width equal to or greater than 600 millimeters (mm), plated or coated with zinc aluminum alloy, unpainted and with or without plastic coating. Investigated products are classified according to the following HS codes: 7210.61.00; 7225.99.00
4. Investigation period: April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020 (ADC will use the data during this period to determine the margin of dumping and subsidy)
