Vietnam has just finished negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with the EU (EVFTA) at the end of 2015. Together with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement, the EVFTA is expected to create big impacts on institutions and policies of Vietnam in the coming time, including the procedures to export/import goods, especially the procedures on specialized inspection.

In fact, the procedure on specialized inspection on import/export goods is currently a reforming field to which the Government pays special attention with the purpose of overcoming one of the aspects which still remains inconvenient and has negative impacts on the approving time as well as the flow of export/import goods in our country nowadays.

Following the implementation review in March 2016 on the EVFTA commitments on Custom, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) continues to review Vietnamese legislation against EVFTA commitments on the procedure on specialized inspection on export/import goods. The review determines incompatible contents of Vietnamese legislation in this sector, therefore recommending amendments to comply with EVFTA commitments, as well as take advantage of this motivation to implement effectively the relevant reform process in Vietnam.

With the support of the British Embassy in Vietnam, VCCI has completed a draft review against TPP commitments on investment, and we would like to invite Sir/Madam to participate in:
