Canada has launched an anti-dumping probe into imports of steel products from South Korea, China and Vietnam.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) said on Monday in a notice that it will wrap up an inquiry by July 24th into allegations that the dumping and subsidizing of steel products from the three nations have caused injury to Canada.

The tribunal said that the inquiry targets cold-rolled steel in coils and strip originating in or exported by the three countries.

Steel products used in the manufacturing of automobiles, buses, trucks, ambulances, hearses and vehicle chassis are to be exempt from the inquiry.

The Canadian anti-dumping move comes a week after the U.S. Department of Commerce imposed steep tariffs on steel products that were imported from China to the U.S. via Vietnam.
